Insurance solutions for High School Programs

High school exchange programs come with a high level of responsibility.
Participants are minors living and learning in a new environment — often far from home.

That’s why insurance needs to go beyond basic coverage. It should support your duty of care, enable easy access to healthcare, and provide a reliable framework for participants, host families, and your team.

Supporting Your Program Responsibilities

What matters most in High School Programs?

High school programs come with unique responsibilities — especially when working with minor participants in supervised environments. Insurance should reflect these realities and support both participant wellbeing and the practical needs of your program.

Duty of care

Minor participants require reliable, gap-free protection. Plans must cover unexpected medical situations and reflect the responsibility you carry for their safety and wellbeing—very different from adult coverage.

Easy access to care

Participants and host families need simple, fast access to care and clear guidance on what to do when needed. Strong support and advocacy from your insurance partner are essential.

Coverage for real life

Insurance should match the daily reality of high school students—active, social, and sometimes at risk. Coverage should include injuries, illnesses, and mental health support.

Program Compliance

Programs require insurance that meets visa rules and specific sponsor or destination requirements. Flexible solutions ensure both program compliance and student protection.
